I have yet to accept this floating heel trend as appealing, although this style seems to show up in nearly every collection Ive seen for Fall 2011. Of course it would take the undeniably creative edge of Nicholas Kirkwood to persuade me with this geometric wedge better know as "Alaiaesque".
This is the first Ive seen of this style that's perfectly symmetrically balanced. Between the curved wedge, angled buckle, crisscross belt, fur neck and peep toe, I'm definitely feeling warm and fuzzy inside. What do yall think of this kind of separated floating heel, you like?
